Un Airbus A320 della compagnia Air Arabia Maroc, marche Cn-nml, è stato protagonista di un grave inconveniente il 20 settembre 2025, pochi secondi dopo il decollo dall’aeroporto di Catania Fontanarossa. L’aereo, che era impegnato in un volo di posizionamento verso Amman senza passeggeri a bordo, ha iniziato a perdere quota fino ad avvicinarsi pericolosamente alla superficie del mare, attivando più volte gli allarmi del sistema di avviso di prossimità al suolo (Gpws). Il velivolo è poi riuscito a riprendere quota e ha proseguito il volo senza ulteriori problemi. Nessuno dei due piloti e dei quattro assistenti di volo ha riportato conseguenze. L’Agenzia nazionale per la sicurezza del volo (Ansv) ha classificato l’evento come “serious incident” e ha pubblicato un rapporto preliminare che ricostruisce in modo dettagliato i primi minuti del volo.
